Scientist to Discuss Origin, History of Horoscopes

Eric Carlson, associate professor of physics at Wake Forest University, will present a talk titled “A Scientist Looks at Astrology” Saturday, Feb. 6, at the university.

Carlson’s presentation, which is free and open to the public, will be made at 4 p.m. in Olin Physical Laboratory, Room 101. The program is sponsored by the Triad Area Skeptics Club.

In his remarks, Carlson will discuss the origin and history of horoscopes, and what scientific testing has discovered about them.

Carlson specializes in elementary particle physics and astrophysics.
