Polish Music Group to Perform

Collegio di Musica Sacra, a vocal ensemble from Poland, will perform Monday, Feb. 22, at Wake Forest University.

The free and public event will begin at 8 p.m. in Brendle Recital Hall.

Directed by Andrzej Kosendiak, the group of vocalists will present a program of Polish music of the 16th through 19th centuries. Wake Forest instrumentalists, including music professors Stewart Carter and Peter Kairoff, will perform with the group.

The group, based in Wroclaw, Poland, frequently appears on Polish television. They have also performed in the Czech Republic and Germany.

The performance is sponsored by the music department and the Year of Globalization and Diversity, a yearlong series of events at Wake Forest focusing on the world’s development into a global community. For more information, call 336-758-5788.
