Calloway School receives software gift

The Wayne Calloway School of Business and Accountancy at Wake Forest University recently received a software donation worth $40,000 through the Great Plains’ Education Alliance Network.

The Calloway school will receive Great Plains Dynamics software and educational materials, including instruction manuals, sample data, technical support and lesson guides.

The software will provide students in accounting classes hands-on experience with computerized accounting software, which is commonly used by corporations to record transactions and handle other accounting needs.

The software and its supporting materials will also be placed in the Calloway school’s Arthur Andersen Accounting Research and Information Center, a computer research facility for students in the school’s five-year program to earn a bachelor’s and master’s degree in accountancy.

Great Plains is a business management software developer based in North Dakota.
