WFU students auction prints to fund service trip to Honduras

Wake Forest University students planning to travel to Honduras during the holiday break will auction two orginal prints by Wake Forest art professor and printmaker David Faber to raise money for the service trip.

The silent auction for the two intaglio prints will be held from Nov. 27 – Dec. 13 in the College Book Store. The prints will be on display from 8 a.m – 9 p.m. for those interested in submitting bids.

Faber donated the two prints and all proceeds will go toward the trip to Honduras. Called HOPE (Honduras Outreach Project) Scholars, the group of 11 students and a faculty member will travel to Honduras for 10 days in January. They will work on building projects with the people of the Agalta Valley, one of the poorest areas of the country. Much of the work will be reconstruction from Hurricane Mitch, which devastated Honduras in 1998.
