Comedy all-stars show to be held Feb. 23 at Wake Forest University
T.J. Cross, a nationally recognized comedian who starred in the film, “Gone in 60 Seconds,” will be the headlining act at the 3rd annual Comedy All-Stars Show to be held Feb. 23 at 8 p.m. in Wake Forest University’s Brendle Recital Hall, in Scales Fine Arts Center.
Tickets are $5, or $3 with a college identification. They can be purchased at the door, or in advance by calling 758-5864.
Cross is a graduate of Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte. He moved to New York after graduation and appeared at several comedy clubs across the city. In 1999 he won an award as the Funniest Up & Comer. He was featured for three seasons on BET-TV’s “ComicView” and has been a professional stand-up comedian for five years.
Robert Dator will be the featured act. Dator is an improvisational comedian who has appeared in several feature films. He is also a founding member of several improvisational comedy groups.
Chris Robinson, from Charlotte, and Debra Terry, from Winston-Salem, will also perform. Terry’s production company, Mustard Seed Entertainment, is producing the show. The event is sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Affairs at Wake Forest in celebration of Black History Month.
