Tenor Matthew Barbour will perform a senior recital at 3 p.m. on April 14 in Wake Forest University’s Brendle Recital Hall.
The program will open with two pieces by G. F. Handel, followed by the music of Stefano Donaudy. Four selections from composer Robert Schumann also will be featured. The program will end with Mahler’s “Ich Bin der Welt adhanden gekommen” and “Erinnerung.” The final piece will be “Con te partiró” by Francesco Sartori.
Barbour is a student of Richard Heard, associate professor of music at Wake Forest. Pianist Jean Blackwood will provide accompaniment.
