Documentary film about Hispanics in North Carolina to be shown April 17
Wake Forest University’s Latin American Studies program will sponsor a screening of the documentary “Nuestra Comunidad: Latinos in North Carolina” on April 17 at 7:30 p.m. in Greene Hall, Room 162. The event is free and open to the public.
Filmmakers Penny Simpson and Joanne Hershfield of Duke University will lead a discussion about “Nuestra Comunidad” after the screening. The film provides a range of Latino voices that differ according to social class, occupation, and economic and cultural viewpoints.
