Media invited to cover WFU Divinity School’s first graduating class
The first students to graduate from Wake Forest University Divinity School will receive their diplomas May 20. The media is invited to cover the history-making class of 20 men and women who represent several different denominations.
The Divinity School will first celebrate its inaugural class on May 18 with a hooding ceremony at 7 p.m. in Wait Chapel. Phyllis Tribble, professor of biblical studies at the Divinity School, will lead this worship service that will be attended by students and their families.
On May 20, the Divinity School students will attend the university’s regular 9 a.m. commencement ceremony on the University Plaza, and then will process to the Magnolia Court where they will receive their diplomas in a separate ceremony.
