Traffic detours planned during Wake Forest Commencement

Wake Forest University will be closed to through traffic for its commencement ceremony on Monday, May 20, from 7 a.m. until the ceremony ends around noon.

Parking passes and tickets are required to enter campus and attend commencement. Passes and tickets are reserved for graduates and their guests.

Anyone not attending commencement should plan to take alternate routes around campus.

For commencement traffic, both lanes at the campus’ University Parkway entrance will be one-way for entering traffic before the ceremony, and for exiting traffic afterward. The Reynolda Road and Polo Road entrances to campus will remain open for two-way commencement traffic during the event.

Parking on campus is limited on commencement morning. Anyone attending commencement is encouraged to use the university’s shuttle service, which will provide continuous transportation to and from parking lots at Groves Stadium from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

University employees are encouraged to park in the Groves Stadium parking lots and use the shuttle service.
