The Wake Forest University Concert Choir, Collegium Vocal Ensemble and Chorale will present the annual Holiday Choral Concert Dec. 5 at 8 p.m. in Brendle Recital Hall of the Scales Fine Arts Center at Wake Forest. The concert is free and open to the public.

All three choirs will join to sing a movement from Sergei Rachmaninoff’s “Vespers” in the original Russian. The choirs will also perform separately.

The Concert Choir’s performance will include selections from Ernani Aguiar and Jean Berger along with Robert Shaw’s arrangement of “Hacia Belen Va Un Borrico.”

The Collegium Vocal Ensemble will present a motet by Giovanni Pierluigi Da Palestrina, Dale Warland’s arrangement of “Coventry Carol” and “Carol of the Bells” by M. Leontovich in the original Ukrainian.

The Chorale will sing Javier Busto’s “Ave Maria” and Gustav Hoist’s medley of English carols “Christmas Day.”

Brian Gorelick, director of choral ensembles at Wake Forest, will direct all three choirs.

The audience is invited to join in the singing of traditional carols between sets and following the performance.
