ADVISORY: WFU students volunteer abroad during winter break, depart next week

During the winter break, nearly 50 Wake Forest University students will participate in international service trips. Members of the media are invited to talk with student volunteers and faculty advisors prior to their departures.
The volunteer groups will travel to Calcutta, India; Mexico City, Mexico; Can Tho Province in Vietnam; and Agalta Valley, Honduras. For the full story on the trips, visit the News Service Web site, www.wfu.edu/wfunews.
The Calcutta group will meet in and depart from JFK International Airport in New York on Dec. 26. Jack Wilkerson, dean of the Calloway School of Business and Accountancy is the faculty advisor for the trip. He may be contacted before Dec. 26 at 760-6903.
The Mexico City group will meet at the university’s Benson University Center at 5:45 a.m. on Dec. 27. They fly out of Piedmont Triad International Airport at 7:15 a.m. on Delta Flight 1442. Two local students, one from Mt. Airy and one from Greensboro, are participating in the Mexico City trip.
