Three student chamber ensembles to perform at WFU
Student chamber ensembles from Wake Forest University will perform at 8 p.m. Nov. 23 in Wake Forest‘s Brendle Recital Hall at Scales Fine Arts Center.
The concert will feature a trio performing Arcangelo Corelli‘s “Trio Sonata in C Major;” a string quartet playing selections from Samuel Barber‘s “String Quartet;” and the Quintessential Winds, a brass quintet, playing movements from August Klughardt‘s “Quintet, Opus 79.”
The ensembles are directed by Wake Forest Orchestra Director David Hagy and coached by Wake Forest music faculty: the trio by David Levy, professor of music; the string quartet by Hagy; and the Quintessential Winds by Kathryn Levy, professor of music.
