Colin Powell to give WFU commencement address May 17

Secretary of State Colin L. Powell is scheduled to deliver Wake Forest University’s commencement address May 17. It will be Powell’s first commencement address at any college or university since being named secretary of state in 2001.

Powell will address approximately 1,500 Wake Forest graduates during the 9 a.m. outdoor ceremony on University Plaza (the Quad), his schedule permitting. The ceremony is not open to the public.
