Reznick Group pledges $250,000 to WFU accounting program
Reznick Group, a national accounting, tax and business advisory firm, has pledged $250,000 to the accounting program at Wake Forest University’s Calloway School of Business and Accountancy.
Established in 1977, Reznick Group is ranked among the top 20 accounting firms in the United States. The firm has offices in Atlanta, Baltimore, Charlotte, Chicago, Sacramento and Bethesda, Md., and employs approximately 900 people.
The Calloway School’s accounting program is ranked annually as one of the best in the nation. This year, the program was ranked 14th by U.S. News & World Report. For eight consecutive years, graduates of the program have ranked in the top five in the nation in passing the CPA exam.
Kenneth E. Baggett, managing principal of Reznick Group, said the success of the program and its graduates has benefited Reznick Group and inspired the firm’s pledge.
“Reznick Group is committed to recruiting and retaining the best professionals in the industry,” Baggett said. “Previous Wake Forest recruits have proven that Wake Forest accounting students are among the very best in the nation. They make our firm better.”
Jack Wilkerson, dean of the Calloway School, said the Reznick Group’s pledge will help the accountancy program maintain its reputation for excellence as it continues to develop.
“We are pleased to be strategic partners with Reznick Group,” Wilkerson said. “This commitment affirms the hard work of our faculty and the dedication of our students.”
The Calloway School, ranked 29th among all undergraduate business programs by U.S. News & World Report, is the largest undergraduate program at Wake Forest.
The school offers a bachelor’s degree with majors in accountancy, business, finance and mathematical business, as well as a master’s degree in accountancy.
