Alumna wins leadership award

Catharine McNally ('06) Catharine McNally ('06) recently received the Hearne Leadership award, which comes with a $10,000 prize, from the American Association of People with Disabilities. McNally, who is deaf, is both an advocate and entrepreneur, having developed captioned video tours for cellphones.

‘The 5th Quarter’ premieres

Wake Forest crowd raises hands for 5th quarter "The 5th Quarter," a movie that pays tribute to Luke Abbate, whose brother Jon was a Wake Forest football player, premiered March 17. The movie showcases the support the Abbate family received from the football team and fans following Luke’s death. The 2006 team, predicted to finish last in the ACC, went on to the win the league title. The film opens to the public on March 25.

Charlotte campus moves to Uptown

Artists rendering of the Wake Forest University Charlotte Center Wake Forest has signed a lease for space in the former International Trade Center building at 200 North College Street in Charlotte. The building will be renamed the Wake Forest University Charlotte Center and house all current and future executive education programs.
