Wake Forest a top value among private schools
Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine has ranked Wake Forest University 29th on its 2018 list of the 100 best values in private universities.
Kiplinger’s annually ranks best values in private colleges and universities that combine outstanding economic value with high-quality education. The rankings are divided into three categories: public schools, private universities and private liberal arts colleges.
Kiplinger’s quality measures, which are weighted more heavily than cost, include the admission rate, the percentage of students who return for sophomore year, the student-faculty ratio and the four-year graduation rate. Cost criteria include sticker price, financial aid and average debt at graduation. Kiplinger restricts its analysis to measurable standards of academic quality and affordability.
The complete rankings are now available online at Kiplinger.com/links/college and will appear in print in the February 2018 issue of Kiplinger’s Personal Finance, on newsstands January 9.
