‘Staying ConnecTED’ with TEDxWakeForestU
Wake Forest University will host TEDxWakeForestU, an independently organized event licensed by TED, on Thursday, Feb. 8 from 5-7 p.m. in Wait Chapel.
“Staying ConnecTED” aims to provide innovators and storytellers with an opportunity to share stories of disruption and fuel positive change. The event is free and open to the public. Registration is requested.

Florence “Flo” Ngala is an editorial photographer known for her celebrity portraits and photojournalism of various hip-hop artists. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, Billboard and on the cover of Essence. She is known for portraits of musicians such as Cardi B, Method Man and Burna Boy.
Steven David served as Indiana’s 106th Supreme Court Justice from 2010- 2022. His long-established and multi-faceted career also included 12 years as the Judge of the Boone County Circuit Court presiding over civil, family, criminal and juvenile cases. David also served the United States Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps on active duty and reserve duty, which included two post-9/11 mobilizations in Iraq and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
Chef Shenarri Freeman is a James Beard Award nominee and a graduate of the Institute of Culinary Education’s plant-based Health-Supportive Culinary Arts program. She has been nominated for two James Beard awards and has been featured in Esquire, The New York Times and Vogue.
Griffin Spolansky is the co-founder and CEO of Mezcla – a plant-based snack brand that launched in August of 2020. Mezcla is sold in stores nationwide – including Whole Foods, The Fresh Market, H-E-B, Gelson’s, Thrive Market, Erewhon, Citarella, and Pressed Juicery.
Suresh Vishnubhatla is the general manager of Chorus, X’s moonshot to transform how we make, move and manage the world’s goods. His work has focused on rapidly growing businesses by launching innovative products and services, building scalable platforms and developing customer-focused service organizations.
