Media Advisory: Growth capital for the family business

The Wake Forest Family Business Center—Charlotte Metro is hosting a forum on topics related to growth capital. “Types of Growth Capital for the Family Business” will be held on March 15 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Whitehead Conference Center, 5901 Sardis Rd., in Charlotte.

Have you received a phone call from someone wanting to buy your business but confusing terms made you step back instead of exploring the possibilities? Are private equity, investment banking or mezzanine lending confusing terms, and are they applicable to your business?  Wells Fargo experts will answer these questions and more in a panel discussion with business owners who have direct experience employing capital to grow or monetize their businesses. SBA loans and business brokerages will also be discussed.

The forum will demystify financial terminology so business owners can determine which, if any, of these resources is an appropriate tool for their organization.

Joe Donlevy, a relationship manager with Wells Fargo Business Banking in Charlotte will moderate the panel session. Donlevy is a Charlotte native who has worked with closely held businesses for 12 years —10 years as a commercial banker and 2 years as an investment banker. He earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees in business administration from East Carolina University and Wake Forest University respectively.

Media are welcome to attend the event.
