The Wake Forest Consort will present a program titled “Italia Mia” at 8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 9 in Brendle Recital Hall at Wake Forest University. The program features Italian music from the 14th through 17th centuries.
The early music ensemble is composed of Wake Forest faculty members, including Teresa Radomski, soprano; Helen Rifas, harp; Selina Carter, viola da gamba and recorder; and Stewart Carter, recorder and viola da gamba.
Founded in 1983, the Wake Forest Consort’s mission is to present concerts of early music using historically accurate performance styles and reproductions of early instruments. The ensemble performs regularly at Wake Forest and the Reynolda House Museum of American Art and has toured throughout the Eastern United States.
