WFDD adds Workmon to staff, promotes two others

WFDD, Wake Forest University’s public radio station, has appointed Robert Workmon as program director and promoted Paulette Cott to news director and Kimberlea Daggy to music director.

Workmon joined the staff at WFDD (88.5 FM) after serving as an arts reporter at the Winston-Salem Journal from 1997 to 2000. He previously worked at the station from 1989 to 1997, first as chief announcer and later as music director. His experience includes working at public radio stations at the University of South Florida and Bradley University. Workmon received a bachelor of arts in music at the University of South Florida.

Cott came to WFDD as a reporter in 1999 after working at South Dakota and Kansas radio stations as a reporter and news director. She taught journalism part-time at the University of Sioux Falls in South Dakota. Cott, who has received a number of Associated Press awards, earned a bachelor of science degree in journalism at the University of Kansas.

Daggy has been an announcer at WFDD since 1993. She received a bachelor of music in voice at Northwestern University, followed by graduate study in opera performance at Yale University and Arizona State University.
