Wake Forest University expects 1,012 incoming freshmen to arrive on campus Aug. 21. Freshmen will move into their residence halls throughout the day beginning at 8 a.m. Sophomores, juniors, and seniors will move into their rooms on Aug. 24 and 25.

Classes for all undergraduates begin Wednesday, Aug. 28.

This year’s freshman class represents 41 states and 15 foreign countries. Thirty-one percent are North Carolina residents; the remaining 69 percent are from out-of-state. Ninety-nine percent will live on campus. Forty-four percent of the 496 men and 516 women in the incoming class were ranked in the top 5 percent of their high school graduating classes. Fourteen percent are minorities.

The Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at Wake Forest begins its orientation on Aug. 27 and classes start on Aug. 28. The 160 entering students will bring total Graduate School enrollment to approximately 450.

Thirty-two first-year Divinity School students will join the 43 continuing students. Orientation begins on Aug. 21 and classes start on Aug. 28.

One hundred and eight first-year medical students began classes on July 29. The class is made up of 61 men and 47 women. The total number of medical students enrolled is not available at this time.

Orientation for 119 new full-time MBA students began Monday, Aug. 12. Classes for the full-time program begin Aug. 19. The Babcock Graduate School of Management operates three additional programs. Sixty-one new students are enrolled in the fast-track executive program, 61 in the evening program, and 52 in the Charlotte program.

Orientation begins for 169 first-year students in the School of Law on Aug. 16. Included in the orientation week is a pro-bono class project with Habitat for Humanity. Total law school enrollment is about 475.
