In September 1962, a Ghana native named Ed Reynolds ('64) became the first black full-time undergraduate to attend Wake Forest. Wake Forest golf icon Arnold Palmer received the Congressional Gold Medal at a special ceremony at the U.S. Capitol on Sept. 12.
