Students To Stage Two Plays This Week
Wake Forest University Theater students will present two plays, Harold Pinter’s “The Dumbwaiter” and Beth Henley’s “Am I Blue,” Feb. 10 and 11 in the Ring Theater.
Part of the Studio Series, the performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10, and 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11.
“Am I Blue” explores what happens when a fraternity boy meets a voodoo-practicing teenager in a New Orleans bar. “The Dumbwaiter” features two hired killers awaiting their latest target.
Both plays are student-directed and student-performed. Tickets for the double bill of plays are $2 and are available at the door. For information, call the university’s box office at 759-5295.
The performances are part of Wake Forest’s Year of the Arts, a yearlong celebration of the arts featuring special performances, lectures and exhibitions.
