WFU Press Celebrates 21st Anniversary

Wake Forest University Press, the major publisher of Irish poetry in North America, will host a “coming of age” party on Tuesday, March 18. The press is celebrating 21 years of publishing poetry.

The evening of Irish poetry and music will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the second floor reading room of Carswell Hall.

Alice Quinn, the poetry editor of The New Yorker magazine, will discuss poetry publishing in the United States. Irish poet and publisher Peter Fallon will present a poetry reading. Fiddler Fred Lail and guitarist Rob Sharer will perform Irish music.

A reception with refreshments and music will follow the discussion and reading. The event is free and open to the public. For information, call 759-5448.
