Calloway School faculty member receives Educator of the Year award

George AldhizerGeorge Aldhizer, associate professor of accounting at Wake Forest University, recently received the Institute of Internal Auditors’ 2001 Leon R. Radde International Educator of the Year award at the institute’s International Conference in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Aldhizer is a faculty member in the Calloway School of Business and Accountancy.

The institute (IIA) presents the award each year to one individual who has made significant contributions to the advancement of internal auditing and education. Arthur Andersen, one of the Big Five CPA firms, nominated Aldhizer for the award.

Aldhizer has been awarded several IIA research grants and written nearly 30 articles in several accounting journals. The IIA is the only global accounting association with more than 75,000 members worldwide.
