WFU professor’s documentary film about local artist to be shown at SECCA Feb. 6
“Sam McMillan: The Dot Man,” a documentary film about a Winston-Salem artist produced and directed by Wake Forest University Assistant Professor of Communication Mary Dalton, will be shown at Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art (SECCA) Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. Admission is $4 for SECCA members, seniors and students; $6 for the general public.
The 15-minute film follows McMillan, the artist, through three short segments that reveal the passion behind the artwork he produces and the life he leads. McMillan and Dalton will hold a brief question-and-answer session following the screening.
“Sam McMillan” aired on UNC-TV in September, as part of the station’s North Carolina Visions series.
For more information, contact Mary Dalton at 758-6120 or Amy Garland at SECCA at 725-1904.
