Members of the media are invited to attend Wake Forest University’s Founders’ Day Convocation, featuring former U.S. senator, best-selling author and Basketball Hall of Fame member Bill Bradley on Feb 27 at 11 a.m. in Wait Chapel.
Bradley will hold a brief press conference prior to the convocation ceremony at 10:15 a.m. in Reynolda Hall, Room 208. Media are encouraged to arrive by 10 a.m. and carry media identification.
During the convocation ceremony, reporters may sit in the front right row of the chapel; however, video and audio recording will be restricted during Bradley’s speech.
Media parking will be available in the parking lot across from First Assembly of God Church at the corner of Polo Road and Long Drive, near the university. Shuttles will run continuously to and from the lot and Wait Chapel from 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
During the ceremony, the university will recognize several academic and athletic accomplishments, including the football and field hockey teams. The recipients of several university awards, kept secret until convocation, will also be announced.
