Former professor Bryan, human-rights champion, dies

G. McLeod Bryan, professor emeritus of religion known for championing racial justice and human rights, died Wednesday at the age of 90. Bryan, who retired in 1987, taught religion and ethics at Wake Forest for more than 30 years and wrote 13 books.

His memorial service will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. in Wait Chapel.
