Celebrate spring with music

The Department of Music offers concerts and recitals throughout the spring season. Johanna Young (’08), who resides in New York City, will return to campus to accompany guitarist Rupert Boyd.

Other events include faculty and student recitals, a Broadway musical concert, and jazz, wind and string ensembles. Listen to samples of music, and plan to attend an event.

34th Annual Christopher Giles and Lucille S. Harris Competitions
Feb. 19, 10 a.m. and  1 p.m.
Performers compete for cash prizes. Piano competition features Bach, Beethoven and Brahms.

University Orchestra Concert
Feb. 24, 7:30 p.m.
Features the winners of the Concerto Competition accompanied by the Wake Forest Orchestra. Student soloists will perform works of Puccini, Verdi, Rossini, Bottesini, Vivaldi and more.
