Media Advisory: What challenges will the next generation of leaders face?
Author, educator, consultant and speaker, Greg McCann will be presenting “The Challenges Facing Next Generation Leadership” on Feb. 23 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Graylyn Conference Center, main conference room.
The workshop brings together senior generation leaders and next-generation leaders to examine the challenges ahead in developing human capital and translate these concerns into concrete personal action plans with measurable benchmarks.
Tools of personal ownership, such as self-assessment, a values-based definition of success, and career planning will be reviewed. Participants will take away a Personal Action Booklet/Plan for future reference that can be used to help align personal goals with marketplace opportunities.
McCann has over 15 years experience working with family enterprises in the areas of succession, communication, conflict resolution and gender issues, with a special emphasis on helping the next generation succeed in both their careers and lives. His book, “When Your Parents Sign the Paychecks,” deals with the challenges faced by the next generation in family business. McCann is the founder and director of the Family Enterprise Center at Stetson University, where he led the effort to develop the nation’s first undergraduate major in family business.
