Media Advisory: Feb 11: Terrence J to speak at Wake Forest University
Three-time Emmy nominee Terrence “J” Jenkins will visit Wake Forest University to discuss his experiences on his path to a successful career as a journalist, author, and entertainer on Thursday Feb. 11, 2016.
Part of the Journey to Success Speaker Series, his address is free and open to the public, and will take place in the Porter Byrum Welcome Center at 6:30 p.m. Doors will open at 6 p.m. for the general public and 5:30 for members of the Wake Forest campus community.
Jenkins was the host of BET’s 106 & Park, the longest running live music countdown show in history, for seven years. He later went on to co-host E! News. In addition to serving as a television host he has established himself as an author, philanthropist, and film actor. One of his most notable acting roles was in the film, Think like a Man, which was based off Steve Harvey’s best selling novel.
He is currently working on a new film entitled, The Perfect Match. He is producing the film and will star opposite actress Paula Patton. He is also involved several philanthropic endeavors.
Jenkins graduated from the North Carolina A&T State University with a degree in mass communications in 2004.
