Wake Forest University welcomes Class of 2025
Wake Forest will welcome more than 1,400 first-year students to campus this week.
On Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 18-19, first-year students will move into the residence halls. Sophomores will move in on Friday, Aug. 20, with juniors and seniors returning to campus over the weekend.
The Class of 2025 includes students from 42 of the 50 U.S. states, plus Puerto Rico. Twenty-three countries are represented in this year’s class, including Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Dominican Republic, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Oman, Pakistan, Peru, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, The Bahamas, Tunisia, Turkey and United Kingdom.
This year’s incoming class has the highest percentage of domestic students of color (24%) as any class since 2011. Of the members of the Class of 2025, 9% are first-generation.
Members of the media are invited to visit campus at the following times:
- Wednesday, Aug. 18, between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. for first-year students move in
- Thursday, Aug. 19, between noon and 2:30 p.m. for first-year students move in
- Friday, Aug. 20, between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. for sophomores move in

To mitigate potential risks associated with the ongoing pandemic, members of the media will not be permitted inside residence halls, but can capture video and photos of students and their families outside.
Parking will be provided for members of the media in Lot G, near Bostwick Residence Hall at the end of Jasper Memory Lane. Here is a link to the parking map.
