Media invited to Inauguration of WFU President Susan R. Wente
Event to be held in Wait Chapel at 3 p.m. on Friday, March 25
Susan R. Wente will be inaugurated as Wake Forest University’s 14th president at 3 p.m. on Friday, March 25.
The inauguration ceremony will be held in Wait Chapel on the Wake Forest campus. The formal installation ceremony will include University Trustees, delegates from higher education institutions, government officials, alumni, faculty, staff, students and other guests. Wake Forest faculty and invited delegates will process into the chapel wearing academic regalia. Wente will present an inaugural address following formal greetings delivered by speakers including Winston-Salem Mayor Allen Joines and Winston-Salem State University Chancellor Elwood L. Robinson.
Media planning to attend the March 25 ceremony should arrive no later than 2 p.m. The event is not open to the public.
Parking
Parking will be reserved for media in Parking Lot P, adjacent to Wait Chapel. See the campus map.
Media Credentials
Pick up media credentials between 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. in front of the College Bookstore (located to the left of the main entrance to Wait Chapel).
Seating
Seats will be reserved for media in the first row of the balcony on the left side of Wait Chapel. Cameras can be set up in the stairway landings on the left side of the chapel near the reserved seating area.
