ACLU president to speak at WFU Law School

Strossen’s talk, “Cyberliberties, Free Speech and Civil Liberty on the Internet,” will begin at noon on Sept. 22 in the Worrell Professional Center, Room 1312. The event is free and open to the public.

Strossen was the first woman to serve as president of the ACLU, the nation’s oldest and largest civil liberties organization. The National Law Journal has twice named Strossen one of the “The 100 Most Influential Lawyers in America.” Vanity Fair and Working Woman Magazine have listed her among the country’s most influential women.
In addition to her ACLU work, Strossen is a law professor at New York Law School. She has written, lectured and practiced extensively in the areas of constitutional law, civil liberties and international human rights.
