Class of 2030 arrives on the Wake Forest campus
Wake Forest University will welcome more than 1,590 first-year students this year. Many will arrive on Tuesday, Aug. 18.
What to know about the Class of 2030:
- The incoming class represents 42 states and the District of Columbia.
- N.C. students will represent about 18% of the Class of 2030, up from 16.2% last year.
- Wake Forest had a record number of applications—more than 21,000—for the entering class.
Media are invited to campus from 8 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, to cover first-year students and their families as they move into residence halls, greeted by staff, faculty and the Demon Deacon. First-year residence halls include: Angelou, Bostwick, Collins, Hopkins, Huffman, Johnson, Kitchin, Luter and Poteat. Photography and video are not permitted inside the residence halls.
Wake Forest University’s new president, Peter Rodriguez, will welcome students and their families from 8-9:30 a.m. Read more about the University’s 15th president, who took office on July 1.
Two reserved parking spaces for media are available in Lot G, near Bostwick Residence. Here is a link to a map of Reynolda campus. Journalists planning to cover move-in day should contact to secure reserved parking.
Classes for the fall semester begin Monday, Aug. 24.
