WFU to introduce middle and high schoolers to careers in statistics and data science
Middle and high school students can discover opportunities for careers in statistics and data science during a free one-day event at Wake Forest University on April 22. Called Florence Nightingale Day, the event will take place April 22 from 1-4:30 p.m. in Manchester Hall. The goal of the program is to engage kids, promote future career opportunities, and celebrate the contributions of women to these fields.Categories: University Announcements

Emmy and Tony Award-winning actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth will join the Face to Face Speaker Forum for an evening of conversation with NPR film critic Bob Mondello on Thursday, April 12 at 7:30 p.m. in LJVM Coliseum.
The Wake Forest University debate team won the national championship in intercollegiate debating Monday night at the 77th National Debate Tournament. Wake Forest juniors Iyana Trotman and Tajaih Robinson defeated the University of Michigan in the final round.

Emmy award-winning director and producer Debbie Allen has been named the inaugural recipient of Wake Forest University’s Maya Angelou Artist-in-Residence Award.
Killian Noe, author, pastor, community builder, visionary and founder of Recovery Café and the Recovery Café Network, will deliver Wake Forest University’s commencement address on Monday, May 15.

Wake Forest University President Susan R. Wente has appointed Jacqueline Travisano, Ed.D., MBA, CPA, as executive vice president and chief financial officer. Identified in a highly competitive national search, Travisano will begin her new role at Wake Forest in July.
