Psychologist to discuss well-being at WFU

Randall J. Larsen, Stuckenberg Professor of Human Values and Moral Development at Washington University in St. Louis, will present a lecture titled “Hedonic Psychophysics: The Differential Contributions of Positive and Negative Affect to Subjective Well-Being” at Wake Forest University. The free public event will be held April 2 at 4 p.m. in Room 162 of Greene Hall.

Larsen earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Loras College, his master’s degree in clinical psychology from Duquesne University and his doctorate in personality psychology from the University of Illinois at Champaign.

Larsen previously taught at the University of Michigan and Purdue University and has been on the faculty at Washington University since 1998.

Larsen’s current research interests include mood regulation strategies and The Personality Project. The Personality Project is a Web-based collaborative scientific effort to conduct personality research. For more information, visit www.personality-project.org.
