Students present ‘Our Reality’ in theatre performance

“Our Reality,” a theater piece based on the experience of student athletes, will be presented Aug. 29 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. in Wake Forest University’s MainStage Theatre.

The theater production grew out of a summer session class taught by Sharon Andrews, associate professor of theater, and Brook Davis, assistant professor of theater. Many class participants were Wake Forest athletes.

The play offers insights into what it is like to be an athlete on campus, says Andrews. Each scene was developed based on reflections and writings prepared for a class called “Development and Performance.”

Admission is free.

The performance contains strong language and adult content.
