Pulitzer Prize-winning author and presidential historian Jon Meacham will deliver Wake Forest University’s commencement address on Monday, May 15. The commencement ceremony will begin at 9 a.m. on Hearn Plaza.

Talking about sports with a Wake Forest football player is helping a group of eighth graders engage in reading. Wendell Dunn, a defensive end for the Demon Deacons, has teamed up with Wake Forest education professor Alan Brown to lead an after-school sports literacy program for students at Paisley IB Magnet School in Winston-Salem.

Because of the generosity of Porter B. Byrum (JD '42) -- an attorney, businessman, philanthropist and Wake Forest alumnus -- hundreds of students have had the opportunity for a Wake Forest education. Today the Wake Forest community remembers Byrum, whose lifetime giving to the University totaled more than $50 million.
