Gabrielle Prichard will begin work as a cloud solution engineer with Oracle. Lucy Vaughn will start her career as a research and development engineer with AstraZeneca. John Hobson will serve in the U.S. Army as a combat engineer commander.
To recognize the poet, actress, author, singer, teacher, and civil rights activist who has inspired people worldwide and taught generations of Wake Forest students, the University will establish the Maya Angelou Artist-in-Residence Award.
To celebrate Wake Forest writers and writing, the University will host the fourth “Words Awake” April 16 and 17. The all-virtual event, including sessions on storytelling and screenwriting, is free and open to the public.
