Deciphering moral behavior

That’s what the first grants from The Character Project, a three-year, multi-million dollar program, aim to discover. Twelve grants totaling nearly $2 million have been awarded to psychology scholars.

Jordan returns to practice

Coach Tom Walter and freshman Kevin Jordan Kevin Jordan practiced with his teammates Tuesday for the first time since he received a kidney transplant from his coach, Tom Walter. "This was the best day of my coaching career -- by far," said Walter. "Just to see him back out here and doing what he loves to do. This is what this has always been about."

Former WFU golfer wins Cup

Bill Haas Former Wake Forest golfer Bill Haas won the Tour Championship in a playoff against Hunter Mahan, giving Haas the FedEx Cup and a combined $11.44 million. Another former Deacon, Webb Simpson, finished second in the FedEx Cup standings.

Five named to Sports Hall of Fame

Randolph Childress Two former football players, a World Cup soccer player, the most decorated women's track athlete in school history and an All-ACC basketball guard who led the Demon Deacons to an ACC Championship comprise the 2011-12 induction class of the Wake Forest University Sports Hall of Fame.
