Fourteen seniors will remain at Wake Forest following graduation as Wake Forest Fellows, working in the President's Office, Information Systems, University Advancement and in other offices. Each fellow will be a full-time University employee for a year. In addition to working in a particular department, the fellows will participate in leadership activities and interact with top administrators and faculty to learn about higher-education administration.

Laura George cannot erase the memory of small children clinging to a fence outside a school in the Dominican Republic, desperately hoping for a glimpse of the lessons going on inside. George, a senior studio art major from Hilton Head, S.C., was on a church mission trip when she noticed the children.

Since he was named men’s basketball coach last month, Jeff Bzdelik has hit the ground running: retaining the five-man incoming recruiting class, meeting the returning players and retaining assistant coaches Rusty LaRue and Jeff Battle.

Associate Professor Emeritus Leon P. Cook Jr., who taught accounting from 1957 until retiring in 1993, died on April 26 in Winston-Salem.
