Admissions information about Wake Forest can now be read in 12 languages, thanks to a campus-wide translation project led by Olgierda Furmanek, the head of the Translation and Interpreting Program.

First-year students visited Reynolda House Museum of American Art on Aug. 23 as part of this year’s summer “reading” project. Rather than reading an assigned book, new students studied a painting, “The Andes of Ecuador.”

About 1,240 first-year students are moving onto campus today. The new class is made up of 22 percent North Carolinians, 22 percent students of color and 3 percent international students.
