Ted Gellar-Goad and the secret of the Sphinx

Don’t gasp when you hear that Ted Gellar-Goad teaches naked. The young Latin scholar is always appropriately clothed in suit and tie. It’s his teaching style that bares all in a classroom stripped of laptops and other electronic devices, leaving students and teacher exposed to face-to-face learning.

Motor mouth: Dentist on wheels

Health and exercise science major Sara Creighton (’05) wanted to be a dentist since middle school. This summer, she sold her brick-and-mortar office to take her practice on the road in a custom-designed, souped-up trailer housing San Francisco's first mobile dental office.
